She claims that although young people in the nation can apply for many jobs, their character and particular behavior’s prevent them from being hired.

The gospel singer said that recent incidents in which some people show poor moral character when they are providing the assistance they require have deterred others from helping others.

Speaking in an interview on Kingdom FM, Diana Asamoah claimed that there is no hardship in Ghana and placed the blame for the high rate of mass unemployment on the younger generation.

โ€œWhen I hear people complaining that there is no job, almost 90% of them [youth] have jobs they can do but because of their character, they canโ€™t. I will say it again that most Ghanaians are unemployed because of their character. This is a fact,โ€ she said.

She continued: โ€œIt is not true [that there is hardship in Ghana]. There are some people it should not be difficult for them. As you are working here, if not for your honesty and good work, you could have been sacked by now.

โ€œLetโ€™s look at the youth of today, the guy called John who was jobless and somebody took him to her house and fed him. What wrong did she do when he stabbed the woman to death? Because of this people are unwilling to help others,โ€ said Diana Asamoah.

People in Ghana are suffering as a result of the economy’s declining fortunes, with the majority of the youth struggling to make ends meet given the high unemployment rate in the nation.

It is unclear what steps the administration will take moving forwards to address the high unemployment rate.
