According to polls conducted on popular social media platform Twitter, has revealed the candidate that would most likely become Nairobi Governor if elections scheduled for August, were held today. The polls pitted three top candidates against each other; the incumbent Evans Kidero, his nemesis and current Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko as well as new kid on the block Peter Kenneth.
With reference to the results produced there was a clear winner as 45.5% of voters who took part in it said they would vote for Kidero while 26.69 would vote for Kenneth. Surprisingly, only 18.87% said they would vote for Mike Sonko, while 3.89 rallied behind barrister Miguna Miguna.
Other candidates in the race performed poorly including former Starehe MP Margret Wanjiru, Dagoretti South’s Dennis Waweru and his nominated counterpart Sakaja who got below 2% of the total votes cast in the poll.
But looking at the bigger picture, Jubilee which is yet to decide on its candidate beats Kidero, the assumed Opposition man. All the other contestants apart from Kidero, are Jubilee members who have promised to support the winner after party nominations, and their combined support apparently is bigger than that of the opposition.
