The story aired on NTV indicated that the bishop appeared to have forged his Primary school certificate and that he did not attend high school yet he was admitted to a university for a degree course.

Investigations showed that he has a Certificate of Primary Education (CPE) certificate allegedly acquired in 1983 from Munyu Primary school in Nyeri county but whose index number does not belong to that school.

His name is also not among candidates who sat the exam in 1983 in the school..

Kariuki also got his primary school leaving certificate 21 years after he left the school which raised eye brows.

The 49-year old had applied for a degree course at the JKUAT’s Westlands campus to study County Governance.
