NASA started it’s two-day tour in Mt. Kenya regions on Monday, February 27. The leaders are visiting, Meru and Tharaka Nithi, a Jubilee stronghold after holding another rally in Eldoret.
Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka were however, forced to keep off the venue by rowdy youth. ODM party leader Raila Odinga and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka were forced to change the venue of a rally during their Meru tour.
A section of youths opposed to the National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders barricaded the entrance to the Meru town matatu terminal with rocks.
The leaders were forced to keep off the main matatu terminal where they were scheduled to address a crowd.
Despite the incident they managed to address a crowd at Timau matatu stage on their first day of the tour.
Earlier in the day, the two principlas were received warmly in some areas as they kicked off the tour in the absence of Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi who were expected to join them later on.
The four will also hold rallies in Timau, Meru, Maua and Lare and later tour Tharaka Nithi county on Tuesday, February 28.
On the the second day of the tour, the principals will visit Mukothima, Mkondi, Gatunga, Marimanti and Marima area in Tharaka Nithi.
