Outspoken lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has revealed why Jubilee government is ‘frustrating’ Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho.
The lawyer said President Uhuru Kenyatta was upset by the fact a son of a peasant was challenging his authority, and that Uhuru has resorted to smear campaign to discredit the governor
The controversial lawyer accused the Jubilee government and in particular President Uhuru Kenyatta of being motivated by jealousy in fight against Joho.
In a series of tweets on Monday, March 27, the lawyer said Uhuru was oppressing the governor because of his poor background and upbringing.
He claimed the president was angry because a son of a peasant had openly challenged him.
It is to be remembered that Uhuru Kenyatta recently vowed to teach the governor a lesson following their public spat in Mombasa.
Ahmednasir went on to say that the fight by Jubilee to destroy Joho had existed for the last five years.
”The wars between Uhuru and Sultan Joho should be appreciated in the right context. It is a class war between royalty and a son of a proletariat,
”It has nothing to do with religion or business. Uhuru can’t understand how a son of peasant with no royal pedigree can challenge him,” he said.
Ahmednasir said the state persecution and intimidation of Joho had a KANU flavour and flare. President Uhuru Kenyatta. Ahmednasir said the government was using state machinery to forge documents in the smear campaign against Joho.
The lawyer said the government was desperate and would use all possible means to finish the fiery governor.
Kenya National Examination Council had written to the CID confirming that Hassan Joho never sat his KCSE in 1992 at Serani Secondary School. On Sunday, March 26, the Jubilee leaders, led by Mombasa gubernatorial aspirant Ananiah Mwaboza, called on the DCI to investigate the anomalies.
They produced two certificates from 1992 and 1993. The grade on the 92 certificate was a C+ and the one on the 93 certificate was a D-. Mwaboza went on record to state that the 1993 certificate was the genuine one.
He also accused Joho of cooking up his academic record, demanding investigations be made into those papers too. Serani Secondary school where Governor Joho sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education later issued a statement over his grades.
The statement signed by the school principal Abbas Juma Ulaya stated that Joho was a bonafide student at the institution between 1990 and 1993.
