Media personality, Adu Safowaa who identifies herself as Kwaku Oteng Daughter has waded into the ban on celebrities by the Food and Drug Authority (FDA) from endorsing alcoholic beverages.

The former brand ambassador for Adonko Bitters noted that it’s a good decision on the side of the FDA to ban celebrities from endorsing or advertising alcoholic beverages because Celebs influence is huge. In an interview on Class FM, she explained that someone like her has people who follow her hence if she’s an ambassador to any of the alcoholic brands she’s likely to influence them to take it.

Adu Safowaa stated that he agrees with the FDA because alcohol is not good for human beings so if they influence people to take it won’t help.

However, some celebrities have decided to take on the FDA and Ghana Gaming Commission to Human Rights Court for banning them because they have stopped their income stream with the directive.
