Ayawaso North Constituency retains Yusif Jajah

The Member of Parliament for the Ayawaso North Constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress, MrYusif I. Jajah, has retained his seat.
He polled 28,207 of the total valid vote cast to beat his main contender, Mr Manaf Mohammadu Osuman Alidu, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate.

Mr Osman Alidu managed 16,810 of the total valid votes cast.

For the Presidential, Mr John Mahama of the NDC garnered 28, 718, while President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Ado polled 15,755.

The Ghana Union Movement had 187, CPP; 17, GFP, 6; GCPP, 4, and APC, 15.

The LPG polled 8; PNC, 19; PPP, 8; NDP, 8; Mr Walker, Independent Candidate, 4.

The total valid votes was 45, 338, rejected ballots, 327.
