Fire has ravaged one of the new storey buildings at the Makola Market in Accra on Monday (5 July 2021) as traders struggle to salvage their wares.

Eyewitnesses told Asaase Radio that wigs, cosmetics and jewelries were the main items destroyed, blaming the fire on electric spark.
Officials are yet to establish the cause of the fire.
