Adultery is a crime that carries a two-year prison sentence, according to Aliyu Giwa.

 

As he tweeted: “Are you aware? Adultery is a crime that carries a two-year prison sentence! According to Sections 387 and 388 of the Penal Code: 387. Male adultery 388.

 

“Fraud by a Woman Whoever, while a man or woman subject to any customary law where extramarital sexual activity is recognized as a criminal offense, engages in sexual activity with another person they know or have reason to believe is not their spouse or husband, without the sexual activity amounting to rape, is guilty of the crime of adultery and shall be punished with a term of imprisonment that may extend to two years.
