Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy candidate for governor, has discussed how she plans to use her substantial social media following to win the Lagos State governor’s race in 2023.
In a clip of her interview with Channels TV, Funke said that she has a sizable following, similar to the governorship contender Jandor, who also has a sizable following.
The mother of two claims that she has more than 20 million social media followers who will help her win.
When the adage “politics is not on social media” was brought up, Funke said that she has a lot of supporters at the local level.
The actress continued, “I’m weary of talking and typing, but I want a good change, so I’m running for office to bring solutions to problems.”
