Ghanaians have been forewarned not to register for the Ghana Card twice, according to Professor Ken Agyeman Attafuah.

The NIA Boss claims that the Authority has the authority to have anyone who registers twice detained and charged with a crime.

“Some individuals registered twice. In an interview with Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo,” he stated that “the double registration is potentially a criminal offense and it also requires an investigation on a case-by-case basis.” “programme.

When explaining why many Ghanaians who had registered for Ghana Cards hadn’t received them, he revealed this discovery.

Over 17 million Ghanaians have registered, he revealed, but not every registered person will get a card because some of them need to be looked at.

“According to the legislation, we are required to make sure that the data that is provided to us is correct and reliable before we permanently record it in the database. In other words, if it (the cards) remains in the logical and technological queue, it must be thoroughly investigated on a case-by-case basis.”
