James Ikechukwu Esomugha, better known by his stage name Jim Iyke, is a prominent Nollywood actor who has received a chieftaincy title in Ghana.

Jim Iyke received the honorific title “Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo” from His Royal Highness, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu, the Eze of Ndigbo Ghana.

During the eleventh Yam Festival on Sunday, September 18, the coronation took place in Accra.

The title, according to the Igbo king of Accra, was given to the actor in recognition of his accomplishments and contributions to both the Igbo people and the African entertainment business.

Empress Gifty, a musician from Ghana, was appointed Chief of the Igbo Community in Ghana.
