Bola Tinubu, a candidate for president of Nigeria, hopped on a stationary cycle to demonstrate his physical fitness in response to online health accusations.
All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Tinubu denied rumors that he had dropped out of the presidential contest as well.
In February, Nigerians will elect a new president.
He tweeted: “Many have said I have died; others claim I have withdrawn from the presidential campaign.”
“I am strong, I am healthy and I am ready to serve Nigerians from day one.”
As the 70-year-old canvasses for votes ahead of the presidential elections, attention will be on his health.
He was hospitalized in London for three months last year due to a knee injury, and there are also worries about an unspecified illness.
The 75-year-old Atiku Abubakar is Tinubu’s biggest opponent for the presidency. It was necessary for Abubakar’s staff to dispel health-related rumors earlier this year.
