The case concerning Aisha Huang, a Chinese national accused of engaging in unlawful mining and immigration offenses, has been postponed by the Criminal High Court, presided over by Justice Lydia Osei Marfo, until 2 November 2022.
The absence of the Chinese interpreter, who helps the court communicate with the accused, caused the case to be postponed.
The state, represented by Deputy Attorney General Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, stated that clerks from the AG’s office were at the court registry completing the filing processes for the documents they intended to rely on to pursue their case. As a result, the court deferred the proceeding.
Captain (rtd) Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey, Aisha Huang’s attorney, was unable in securing bail for his client once more.
The conditions for the refusal of bail have not changed, thus Justice Lydia Osei Marfo’s court stated that it will have none of that.
Sunak has Mordaunt’s “full support” as she withdraws from the race, according to their rival.
Sunak easily crossed the finish line while Mordaunt struggled to secure enough support from MPs to qualify for the final vote in the leadership contest.
After failing to secure the needed 100 nominations from Conservative MPs by the 2pm deadline, Ms. Mordaunt withdrew from the race at the last minute.
As of Monday morning, the Commons leader had only 25 public supporters, but a source from her campaign team stated she had up to 90 nominations and wouldn’t be quitting the race.
“This decision is an historic one and shows, once again, the diversity and talent of our party. Rishi has my full support,” Mordaunt tweeted.
After Penny Mordaunt withdraws from the race, Rishi Sunak becomes the next prime minister of the United Kingdom.
With his return, Mr. Sunak will be the first Hindu, first Asian, and, at 42, the youngest prime minister in more than 200 years to serve as leader of the United Kingdom.
Despite his accomplishments, Sunak still encounters opposition from members of the ruling Conservative Party who hold him responsible for Johnson’s ouster and worry that he lacks the necessary skills to prevail in elections.
The opposition Labour Party will probably portray him as a member of the ultra-wealthy elite who is out of touch with the pressures experienced by millions as Britain sinks into a recession as a result of the skyrocketing expense of food and other necessities.
