Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr., better known by his stage name Shatta Wale, is a well-known reggae-dancehall performer who has made fun of Ghana’s Black Stars football team. This comes after the Uruguayan national football team, coached by Luis Suarez, defeated the Black Stars to send them home from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Prior to Ghana and Uruguay’s penultimate group H match, the Black Stars merely required a draw to advance to the competition’s knockout stages.

However, many people’s plans for retribution went awry as Uruguay managed to score two goals without being responded, sending Ghana to the bottom of the group with just three points.

In a Facebook post before the game, Shatta Wale asked his followers if they could play his song JJC, which stands for “Johnny Just Come,” to welcome the Black Stars.

“Guys can we play JJC to welcome the BLACK STARS at least,”

Shatta Wale said.
