Veteran Actress, Grace Omaboe known popularly as Maame Dokono has disclosed that during her hay days, she used to ask men who proposed to her to meet her in a hotel in London, MyNewsGh.com reports.

According to her, the fame got deep into her head that she always thought of herself as someone who was not meant to be local and therefore will decline going to the man’s house in Ghana.

“When I was young and very active, when a man proposes to me, I ask him to meet me in a hotel abroad. There, I expected a queenly treatment and a lavish holiday. I did that because I did not see myself coming to the man’s house or making him come to my house.”

The actress who was speaking to Delay mentioned that it’s advisable for ladies of today to lower their standards and accept the good men rather than focus on looks and riches.

She recalled that she left her visionary husband for a rich and good looking man but has always regretted towing that line because her second husband was nothing to write home about.
