A POS machine was made available by a family hosting a memorial service for their deceased patriarch.

The family made it clear during the burial in Anambra state that they will not accept old naira notes and that those without the new notes can use the PoS to pay using their ATM cards.

Those who prefered to donate by bank transfer were given their account information as well.

The old N500 and N1000 notes have been outlawed, and the replacement notes are still in short supply.
