On the evening of September 21, a candlelight parade and memorial performance were held in Lagos in memory of the late musician Mohbad.
The memorial concert, which got under way at 8 PM at Muri Okunola Park on Victoria Island, Lagos, followed the parade, which had started earlier in the evening at Lekki Phase 1.
Many explanations for why fresh blood was found in Mohbad’s grave but there was no smell of it
However, as 11 o’clock drew near, allegations of attendees at the Lekki Phase 1 procession asserting that they had been exposed to tear gas by the police in an effort to disperse them started to circulate on social media.
Videos that were shared on social media showed people frantically escaping as the area was covered with smoke from the tear gas.
The precise cause of the police’s actions is yet unknown, which has spurred debate and conjecture among online users.
