Esther Lungu, the former first lady of Zambia and the wife of former President Edgar Lungu, is now on trial in Lusaka.
She is accused of stealing three cars, stealing the title to a Lusaka property, and having $400,000 (£317,000) that is purportedly the profits of criminal activity.
She and two police officers are both on trial.
On Monday, a witness testified in court that Ms. Lungu had forcibly taken her car, her house’s title deed, and two of her daughter’s cars.
She continued by saying that the alleged police officers forced them to sign the property documents that were given to Ms. Lungu.
When Ms. Lungu and her co-accused were taken into custody in September for the alleged acts, they both denied any misconduct.
