Five out of seven individuals implicated in the homicide case involving musician Kiernan “AKA” Forbes and chef Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane were denied bail by Judge Vincent Hlatshwayo at Durban Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, May 15th.

Judge Hlatshwayo asserted that there is a substantial case against the defendants and granting them bail would be irresponsible. He decreed that bail is refused for all five accused.

Lindokuhle Thabani Mkhwanazi, the primary applicant, was denied bail due to his failure to adhere to bail conditions from a prior case. Despite presenting a document claiming he was elsewhere, evidence suggested otherwise.

The second applicant, Lindani Ndimande, argued that his safety was at risk, expressing fears of harm in prison and a lack of protection from authorities.
