Some parts of Accra experienced flooding once again following heavy rainfall on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
The downpour caused significant traffic disruptions on major roads, hindering vehicular movement across the city.
Areas including Tantra Hill, Adabraka Sahara, the Ofankor-Pokuase stretch, the Accra-Tema motorway, and Kaneshie First Light were particularly affected by the flooding.
The floodwaters have severely impacted commuters and businesses, submerging major roads and making them impassable.
While some drivers chose to wait for the rain to lessen, others navigated cautiously through flooded streets.
Many shops closed temporarily, and vehicle owners took precautions by parking their cars to avoid engine damage from the water.
Residents and commuters are urgently requesting assistance from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO).
Social media platforms are buzzing as users share firsthand accounts, along with photos and videos documenting the flooding.
