Celebrated Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, who goes by the moniker Shatta Wale, is set to build a recording studio for the people of Tamale, the capital of Northern Region.
According to the “Taking Over” hitmaker, he will teach them how to make good songs, get hit songs and make some money out of music.
Shatta Wale was recently enskinned as the ‘Dancehall King’ by the Chief of Tamale.
Chief of Tamale, Nyeb-Dakpema Fusieni Bawa, enskninned the “Prove You Wrong” crooner as ‘Dancehall Naa’ (Dancehall King) at a ceremony in Tamale on Friday.
Hundreds of fans and well-wishers trooped to the Dakpema Palace in Tamale for the ceremony.
Sharing his plans for the people of Tamale, Dancehall Naa reveals he wants to teach the youth of the Northern region how to make millions of money from doing music therefore he has decided to set up an ultramodern recording studio for them.
“Yes, I promise the big Chiefs and Elders over there that I will soon set up a huge studio in Tamale and teach the youths how to make music. Teach them how to make good songs, get hit songs and make some money out of music.”
The head honcho of the Shatta Movement Empire went on to divulge he will invest into large scale farming to create employment for the unemployment youth in Tamale.
“I told them that I would again go into large scale farming, so as to employ more youths over there” he said
