An articulated trailer truck has run over a uniformed policeman on the Tema-Nungua Beach road MyNewsGh.com has confirmed.
According to some residents, the incident occurred at about 4pm on Tuesday June 18, 2019 while the deceased and truck where heading towards Tema.
According to eyewitnesses account, the truck which is suspected to have failed brakes and run on the uniformed policeman who was riding a motorbike ahead of the vehicle on the same lane.
The identity of the policeman who died on the spot is not immediately known but sources revealed that it is most likely he could be assigned to one of the stations in Tema Region.
At the time of going to the press, the body which laid there for more than an hour had been picked and deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital while efforts were underway to establish his identity and inform the bereaved family.
