Former President Robert Gabriel Mugabe is detained at a Singapore hospital where he is undergoing medical attention, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has revealed.

In a press release to the nation on Monday Mnangagwa said, “Former President and Founding Father of our Nation R.G. Mugabe remains detained at a hospital in Singapore where he is receiving medical treatment.

“Last week I sent a high powered delegation led by Dr Misheck Sibanda to Singapore to check on the former President and to get an update on his health. He is responding well to treatment and could be released fairly soon. ”
