Information reaching the front desk of browngh.com has it that a two-year-old boy has lost his life to a fuel tank explosion in the Western Regional Capital.
This tragic incident occurred at Apremdo, a suburb in Takoradi on Wednesday, 6 May 2020 while the oil tankers were waiting to be discharged near a fuel station.
According to reports, firefighters arrived at the scene in less than 30 minutes as the explosion destroyed seven container shops of which the victim was in one of them.
In images gathered from sources, some residents were seen trying to calm down the fire even before the firefighters arrives to assist.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Fire Service in the Western Region, Emmanuel Bonney stated that the cause of the outbreak is yet to be known as investigations are still ongoing.
The victim who happens to be sleeping in one of the containers was totally consumed by the outbreak.
The Fire spokesperson was quoted by CNR adding that “We are now trying to get the Auntie we are to confirm if the boy is [related]”.
