Michel Camp: Bombs explode at ammunition depot

There has been an explosion at Michel Camp’s military base armory of the 1st Infantry Battalion of the Ghana Armed Forces.

Eye witnesses say they heard multiple explosion around midnight lasting more than two hours.

Scores of residents around the military camp say some military men knocked their doors and asked them to run for their lives.

Officers from the Ghana National Fire Service were called in to douse the huge fire that was caused as a result of the explosion.

There has been no report of casualties, but there’s panic in the area after residents were told the explosion occurred at the facility where live weapons are kept.
