John Dumelo is among the few people who have called for the legalisation of Marijuana due to its positives.

According to the actor, a lot of countries and even religious institutions are making money in the Marijuana trade.

He, therefore, called on the government of Ghana to look into the setting up of a Marijuana farm which will be mainly for export and not for local consumption or abuse of the drug.

John Dumelo who is thinking about the revenue the legislation could bring to the country charged the government to start trading in Marijuana in order to generate revenue for developmental projects and some other expenditures in the country.

The actor cum politician took to his twitter handle to write:

“A lot of countries and even religious institutions are cashing in on the Marijuana trade. Here’s my take. The Ghana gov can look into setting up the farm. The marijuana will be solely for export, no local consumption.”

“That way Ghana can cash in on the billions of dollars. We need revenue for infrastructure, paying of salaries etc. We have all it takes to generate that. Let’s stop talking and start trading.”

This is not the first time the renowned actor and farmer has called on the government to legalise marijuana.

Recall that in January this year in an interview with Yvonne Okoro on the ‘Cooks and Braggarts’ show, John Dumelo asserted that the country can benefit more from the medical advantages of marijuana after it is legalised.

He also talked about the economic benefits of legalizing ‘Marijuana’ in the country.

There are other industry players who have also called on the government to legalise Marijuana.

The likes of Samini, Blakk Rasta, Kwame Sefa Kayi among others are all rooting for the legalisation of marijuana in Ghana.
