Ghanaian singer and songwriter Mzbel has urged management of the senior national soccer team of Ghana, Black Stars to allow players who are yet to tie the knot to take their girlfriends to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
Born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah claims that taking along their girlfriends to the tournament could help boast morale of the players at the camp.
She added that wives of the players should stay behind and support them with prayers because unlike the girlfriends, wives of players may cause many problems when allowed to be in camp and this might destruct the players.
Mzbel, who was speaking in an interview on Asempa 94.7FM said “Those [players] who are not married yet should be allowed to be in the camp with their girlfriends. Those that are already married should let their wives stay at home because girlfriends give more morale,”
