The Army in Malawi has taken a strong position against that country’s police officers for tear gassing citizens demonstrating the imposed President.

Malawians have been taking to the streets refusing to recognise their long time President Peter Wamutharika but this has been a source of them being attacked by the Police.

However, the army has said it will now side with the people in ensuring that their democratic rights are respected.

The army has since taken to the streets along with the people chasing the police.
