Nigerians have reacted to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s handling of the coronavirus in Ghana, praising him for being decisive and in control of his country unlike their President Muhammadu Buhari
President Akufo-Addo Sunday March 15, 2020 announced drastic measures, including the temporarily closure of schools, Churches and other public gatherings, so as to contain the novel coronavirus virus in Ghana after the country recorded six confirmed cases.
“All public gatherings, including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious activities, such as services in churches and mosques, have been suspended for the next four (4) weeks. Private burials are permitted, but with limited numbers, not exceeding twenty-five (25) in attendance”, he disclosed.
These directives came after he had pledged some $100 million to the fight and containment of the coronavirus pandemic.
Nigerians have been full of praise for the Ghanaian President for these actions and even how he delivers speeches on the matter.
