Chinese Man Enstooled As “Nkosuohene” At Kwahu Abetifi

Information reaching us from Kwahu Abetifi has it that a Chinese man identified Sun Qiang has been crowned as the “Nkosuohene” in English meaning Development Chief in a community called Afram Agya.

“Nkosuohene” is purposely given to people who bring developments and improvements to the community.

The ceremony for his enstoolment was held on September 5, 2020, with a grand durbar organized by the palace to celebrate the day, and by virtue, his enstoolment name will be Barima Kofi Ayeboafo.

However, the people of Kwahu Abetifi have disagreed and expressed their displeasure in the Omanhene for crowning a foreigner as chief in the community.
