Gov’t begins installation of 14,000 streetlights in Accra [Full List]

The government, through the Ministry of Energy, has commenced work on the installation of 14,287 streetlights in the capital and across several communities.
The project which is being funded by the Millennium Development Authority (MIDA), is to improve visibility at night in the Greater Accra region.

This was disclosed at a meeting between the Energy Ministry and the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) with a determination to fix, repair and instal new streetlights across the length and breadth of Accra.

The project has been divide into lots:

Lot SW (1):- Works Located in the Western Part of Accra and to be completed in 12 calendar months from the start date.

Lot SC (2):- Works Located in the Central Business District of Accra and to be completed in 12 calendar months from the start date.

Lot SE (3):- Works Located in the Eastern Part of Accra and to be completed in 12 calendar months from the start date.
