The Federal Ministry of Agriculture has warned against the consumption of wheat seedlings carted away by looters who attacked the National Agricultural Seed Council warehouse over the weekend.
In a tweet posted on his Twitter handle on Monday afternoon, October 26, Bashir Ahmad, personal assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, said the wheat seeds are not fit for consumption as they have been treated with Agrochemicals.
”The Ministry of Agriculture appeals to the general public not to consume the looted wheat seed from the National Agricultural Seed Council’s warehouse in Jos. The wheat seed is not fit for human consumption as it has been treated with Agrochemicals, it’s for planting. Kindly RT!”his tweet read
