Mercy Abena Sam is her name in real life but she has chosen Iona Rennie as her showbiz name. She hails from Anomabo in the central region of Ghana and is a midwifery student at the University of Health and Allied Sciences at Ho in the Volta region. Iona is signed onto Funkz Entertainment whose CEO is Eugene Agyeman, a Ghanaian businessman based in the U.K.
Iona is known to be one of Ebony’s look-alike who popped up after her sudden demise.
Due to the resemblance, the singer did get some little attention and with that has come out with her latest single titled Obra which has its visuals released not long ago.
Surprisingly the video was a copy of Ebony’s Maame Hw3 Video, which has Iona dressing just like Ebony did in her Maame Hw3.
This has got fans and netizens divided, as some feel she did that because the late Ebony was her role model, others are also saying she is doing it for the hype.
