Popular Kumawood comedian, Lilwin, known in real life as Kwadwo Nkansah has noted that his upcoming TV series will revive the sinking movie industry.
The upcoming TV series dubbed “Cocoa Season” features top-notch entertainers like Vivian Jill, Kalybos, Mr. Beautiful Agya Koo among others.
In an interview, he indicated that Ghanaian movies are to portray and showcase the local culture to the world but has been overshadowed by foreign movies.
According to Lilwin, he explained that he wasn’t happy with the fact that foreign movies dominated Ghana’s screen to telecast their culture to Ghanaians.
He added that despite the downfall of the local movie industry he has decided to create something that Ghanaians will receive and thrill on.
The series also features musicians and Lilwin noted that he combined popular, veterans, and musicians to also have a feel of their favorite character.
