The Electoral Commission (EC) is expected to address the media later in the day.

This briefing comes ahead of the general elections scheduled for Monday, December 7.

Currently, electorates are preparing to go to the polls after political parties climaxed their campaigns on Saturday.

The Commission is expecting some 17,027,641 electorates to exercise their franchise during presidential and parliamentary elections to decide their leaders for the next four year.

“Any citizen who has misplaced his or her voter ID card can still vote as their details are on the biometric verification devices. As such, we entreat this category of voters to go to the polling stations where they registered to cast their votes,’ she stated at the press briefing.
