Cheriponi constituency: DCE axes incumbent MP from Parliament

The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) for the Cheriponi constituency, Mr Samuel Abdulai Jabanyite has been axed from Parliament by the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Chereponi, Mr Tahidu Abdul Razak.
Mr Jabanyite who was seeking a third four-year term, got only 12,859 votes while his closest contender Mr Razak swept 19,800 votes.

The People’s National Convention (PNC) parliamentary candidate also managed with only 154 votes in the keenly-contested election.

A total of 33,946 votes were cast with 1,133 rejected ballots.

Samuel Abdulai Jabanyite – 12,859 (NDC)

Bashiru Tamado Koffikan Eugene – 154(PNC)
