NDC’s Kofi Adams wins Buem Constituency

Former National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress, Mr Kofi Adams, has won the Buem Constituency seat in the Oti Region.
Mr Adams won 18,528 votes against the NPP’s Lawrence Kwame Aziale who had 6,843 votes.

neither of the two remaining candidates, Rev. Davids Kpuku Kwaku of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) and the People’s National Convention (PNC)’s Darko-Boateng Adams polled over 300 votes.

The NDC also won the presidential election in the constituency with 29,858 votes, while the NPP garnered 8696 votes.

The Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Convention People’s Party (CPP), Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) and Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP) had 427, 30, 15 and 5 votes respectively.

The other parties, National Democratic Party (NDP), Progressive People’s Party (PPP), LGP, PNC and APC had 18, 7, 10, 47 and 14 votes respectively.

The Independent Candidate, Asiedu Walker managed to win 31 votes.

In total, 39,249 valid votes were cast, while 731 votes were rejected.
