Top Nigerian Pop and Soul singer, Tiwa Savage, has been included on the New York Times list of the Best Songs of 2020.
The recognition is for her song, ‘Koroba’ which sits comfortably at number 8.
The global media organization describes Savage’s Koroba as “a crisp Afrobeats groove with hints of Middle Eastern modes, besieged by sudden salvos of percussion.”
New York Times further added that “the Nigerian songwriter Tiwa Savage suavely mocks corrupt, immoral politicians.”
Taking to Instagram to acknowledge the honour, the talented songstress wrote;
“Another 1. #Koroba no8 on @nytimes best songs of 2020 Thank you Jon
