The lingering war between Ghana’s major political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) over who has the majority in the house has taken a different twist.

According to media personality Dele Momodu, Ghanaian parliamentarians arrived at about 4am to occupy special sections of the Parliament as the face-off lingers.

He tweeted;

POLITICAL BROUHAHA: Ghanaian parliamentarians now arrive about 4.am to occupy special sections of the Parliament because of the lingering war over which party has majority in the house!!!

Recall that the last Ghanaian election left the parliament with no clear majority, meaning it could prove challenging to pass reforms. Both the opposition and the ruling party having 137 MPs each, with one independent MP.
