Customized iPhone, iPad reportedly shared as souvenirs at Buhari’s son’s wedding (PHOTOS)

President Muhammadu Buhari’s only son, Yusuf, and Zarah, daughter of the Emir of Bichi, had a glamorous wedding ceremony on Friday, August 20, 2021, in Kano.

According to reports, customized gadgets, mainly iPads and iPhones were reportedly distributed as souvenirs in the lavish ceremony which was attended by the high and mighty in the society.

Current market analysis shows that the devices which are Apple products cost at least N300,000 each and a closer look shows the names of the couple inscribed at the back of the gadgets.

Meanwhile, The Street Journal had earlier reported that no fewer than 20 private jets conveying prominent personalities to the wedding landed at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.

Among the dignitaries that attended the event were former President Goodluck Jonathan, a former President of Niger Republic, Muhammdu Isoufu; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, governors Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), and Babagana Zulum (Borno), among others, Daily Trust said on Friday.

Also present were lawmakers and other government personalities.

The couple was joined together as man and wife by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Ali Isa Pantami, at Bichi Central Mosque.

Buhari’s nephew, Maman Daura, received the bride on behalf of the President, while an influential businessman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, gave out the bride on behalf of the Bayero family.
