Senator Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna congressman, claims that Presidential contender and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo may resign to make way for his old mentor, Bola Tinubu.
According to Advertafrica.net, Osinbajo and Tinubu, among others, will compete on June 6 for the position of All Progressives Congress Presidential candidate (APC).
The presidential screening committee, led by former APC National Chairman, Chief John Odigie Oyegun, examined Tinubu, the APC National Leader, on Monday.
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances, the vice president will appear before the committee today (Tuesday).
Sani claimed Osinbajo may withdraw from the presidential race and support Tinubu’s ambition in light of recent happenings in Nigeria’s political landscape.
On Monday, the former governorship candidate revealed this in a tweet on his Twitter account.
“Aminu Tambuwal,” he wrote. I took a step back for Atiku Abubakar. Pat Utomi resigned to make way for Peter Obi. Prof. may resign to make room for Jag.”
