Ini Edo, a Nollywood actress, has spoken up about the various changes motherhood has brought to her life.
During an interview with Lilian Afegbai on her talk show Lilian’s Couch, the actress, who recently received her first kid via surrogacy, revealed this.
“The reality that you can genuinely love somebody else more than yourself,” she remarked of learning to love someone else. Someone else has suddenly become more important than you.”
For ‘peace of mind,’ I chose to use a donor for my baby – Ini Edo
“I’m the type of person that adores herself and her surroundings. But then you realize that before you start thinking about yourself, you don’t think about yourself when you get up in the morning. You’re considering your child.”
In a December interview with Stella Dimoko, the popular actress announced that she had given birth to a kid through surrogacy.
“Yes, I do have a daughter, and I had her through surrogacy,” she responded to critics at the time. She is genetically my blood because the eggs are mine. I chose this road in order to realize my ambition of becoming a mother.”
“I still have a lot of eggs saved in case I want to undergo surrogacy or carry my baby myself.” “Who knows?” you might ask.
When asked about her child’s biological father, the actress said that she chose a donor for “peace of mind.”
“I chose a donor for the sake of my peace of mind and that of my child. Another reason I chose a donor is that it terrifies me so much when I see public forums full of banter and disagreements between a mother and a father over a baby, or when I see the male demanding on his child if things don’t work out between both parties.”
