Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a leading presidential candidate, has taken an early lead in the campaign to be the All Progressives Congress (APC) standard-bearer in the 2023 general elections.
According to sources, as electoral authorities sorted the votes of the national delegates, the name of the APC National Leader was cited more frequently.
Tinubu is trailed by former Minister of Transportation Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo as the counting of votes continues.
A total of 2,340 delegates from all throughout the country cast ballots for their favourite presidential candidates.

Uju Kennedy-Ohnenye, Godswill Akpabio, former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, Senator Ajayi Boroffice, Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru, and Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi are among those named.
Felix Nicholas, a forty-year-old contender and pastor, stepped aside for Vice President Osinbajo.
