Togo and Israel have chosen to formalize their partnership after more than 60 years of diplomatic relations. This is one of the primary outcomes of Togo’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Dussey’s recent visit to the Hebrew State.
The goal of the update is to “better adapt cooperation to the current situation and strategic alternatives of the two countries,” particularly “at the economic level.” As a result, both parties should sign new agreements.
To strengthen their business relations, the two partners are planning a joint economic forum, among other things. According to sources close to the situation, the event, whose details are still being worked out, will allow Israeli industrial businesses to join the Adétikopé Industrial Platform (PIA).
Togo is also focused on improving its connection with Morocco, particularly on a no-visa accord and an economic conference.
