According to reports, the Ghana Police Service has detained a few protesters who were involved in an assault on them during Arise Ghana’s #KromAyeShe march.

After being stoned by the protesters, the police opened fire with tear gas. According to sources, the marchers insisted on taking a prohibited route, which is why chaos broke out.

The Service called the event disgraceful and inappropriate in a tweet.
