A 28-year-old woman from Lusaka packed her luggage and fled from her matrimonial house to the protection of her parents’ home in Kapiri Mposhi as a result of her husband’s PUNISHING sex rota.

While some couples attempt to repair interpersonal rifts, Cecelia Chungu claims her 43-year-old husband has been invading her castle as if his life depended on it, giving her more than she can bear.

When Chungu gave her testimony in the Lusaka Boma Court where her husband filed for divorce, she revealed that she left their home because of her husband’s excessively strong sexual cravings, which at times included demanding to enter her runway as she was paying her monthly women expenses.

She claimed that the reason she ran away from her marital home and went to her parents’ house was to seek some fresh air.

Masiliso Muselsel said he was tired of pursuing his wife because she was playing hide and seek and kept going back to her mother’s house. He was speaking in court before Senior Local Court Magistrate Pentronella Kalyelye.

Muselsel demanded that the marriage be dissolved since he was acting like a bachelor while still being married.

“My wife visited her folks in Kapiri without my permission for the past ten months.”

Since my wife is unwilling to live a married life, it would be best to dissolve the marriage, Muselsel stated.

Chungu pleaded with the court to help her and her husband work things out because she had two kids and nowhere for them to go.

The hearing was postponed by Magistrate Kalyelye so that the couple might reconsider their choice.
