President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was the person he spiritually supported in opposition up until he was elected to the highest office of the Presidency in 2016. However, according to Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah, the leader and founder of Glorious Word and Power Ministries International, he has stopped praying for him.

He claims that he and the President were formerly close but that there is now a distance between them.

He declared that he no longer prayed for presidents and that he would never again pray for any political regime that came into power in the future.

Speaking on Okay FM in Accra, the man of God suggested that the president urgently round up some men of God to pray on his behalf since what is going on in the nation is not normal.

“I don’t mean to insult the President, but I no longer pray for him as often as I used to. I used to pray for the president, asking God to keep him safe and ensure that his term is successful. However, I have now ceased praying for the president, according to Rev. Owusu Bempah.

“Nana Addo has strayed away from God, just like Saul, Samuel, and David in the Bible, to cite three examples. Because he has turned recalcitrant like Saul in the Bible, he is no longer in charge of the nation, Owusu Bempah continued.

He stated that without spiritual support, neither the NDC nor the NPP could succeed as political parties.

When he said, “If you claim to be of God, then let the people of God support you with prayers; if you pretend to believe in other gods, then let your magicians intercede for you like King Pharaoh because, without power, you can never achieve in life,” he was emphasizing the need of faith.

He responded that as a man of God, he is willing and ready to intercede for anyone who approaches him for spiritual help and direction but “when I see that after praying for you, you do not have any belief in the prayer, I will just withdraw and stay within my lane.” When asked what caused the “bad” blood between him and the President to the extent that he has stopped interceding for him, he explained that.

“I am a human, and if after battling to fulfill your wishes, you choose not to care about or value what I have done for you, so that you continue to neglect me, [I won’t mind you again].”

When you put all of your effort into helping someone advance in life, and then that person acts as though you were rejected, it hurts tremendously because you feel as though your efforts were in vain. But at least the person should be able to remember what I have done for him; the person should remember that without this person, I would not have attained such rank. I’m not saying if I do anything terrible, nobody should confront me or the law should be manipulated to favor me.

“No, I don’t want the praise or the attention for myself. I took the praise for the Lord when President Akufo-Addo mentioned my name during his victory speech; that is, when you start with God, you must end with him. The Lords should be the altar and culmination of your faith, according to Rev. Owusu Bempah.

The man of God has stated that he has made the decision to keep quiet this time and withhold the identity of the leader that God has appointed for the nation.

“I’d prefer to have a private conversation with the person in question and advise them on what they should do to seek God’s face and win the election.

Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah said, “I know who will win the general elections in 2024, but I won’t make it public. When the time comes, I will personally go to the person and tell that person to prepare to govern the country as God has already anointed him.”
