Senator Abdullahi Gobir of Sokoto East has been named the next Senate Leader by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, the national chairman of the APC, revealed this in a letter on Wednesday.
At the plenary, the letter that was sent to Senate President Ahmad Lawan was read.
Gobir took over for Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, the legislator for Kebbi North, who resigned as Senate Leader after switching from the ruling APC to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
