The Vogue magazine cover featuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his wife Olena Zelenska in the midst of the current conflict with Russia drew harsh criticism from online users. Internet users criticized the cover for being “insensitive and disgusting,” despite the Vogue Magazine calling it a “picture of bravery.”
In a different photograph, Olena Zelenska posed while sitting on stairs that were lined with sandbags used in military bunkers.
Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz took the pictures.
The fashion publication reportedly stated that Olena Zelenska’s complete feature will be accessible in the October issue.
Because of the conflict that has torn across Ukraine, many Internet users did not appreciate the Vogue photoshoot and harshly criticized the pair for it.
Twitter was used by online users to vent their ire at the Ukrainian President’s mistaken priorities.
